課程概述

介紹有關殖民主義相關研究之基本理論,特別強調殖民主義作為知識型式與權力機制,而不再是單純的政治與經濟統治,因此模糊了各種社會政治界限,改變了文化範疇及主體性。以人類學最近的民族誌研究為基礎,以不同地區的殖民主義為借鏡(特別是南亞的個案),來檢討殖民主義這個知識範疇的成立與西歐中心主義的知識建構方式。

課程要求
基本上,三個小時的課程中,二個小時有修課的學生就講課的內容和指定閱讀的資料進行討論,最後一個小時則由教師進行總結與提問。修課學生除了必須閱讀指定讀物外,上課前要交一篇上週指定讀物的摘要(500字以上)。期末要交一篇報告。
評分方式:報告40%,摘要與上課討論60%。
期末報告主題請於第十一週,寫好論文大綱與我確認,必須經過我們商討同意後,才可以動筆。
